Several lots each with direct ocean frontage on Liscomb Harbour. Government wharf nearby at Little Liscomb with boat launch and parking.
All lots were surveyed by a licensed Nova Scotia land surveyor in 1999 with approvals issued by the municipal development officer. These lots are well treed with spruce, fir and some hardwood, have south and west exposure with beautiful views. This is an excellent area for boating – exploring the many islands and sand beaches, fishing for sea trout, salmon, mackerel and deep sea fishing, diving for scallops, digging clams, and so on.
Hemlow Island is 2 km long and 1 ½ km wide. In the early 1900s there were a number of residents and a school and grocery store. There is one year round vacation home and a number of cottages, with land owners including Canadians, Americans & Europeans.
The island is a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from the Halifax’s Stanfield International Airport, while the historic village of Sherbrooke with most amenities is ten minutes away. Also, the university town of Antigonish is less than a hour’s drive from Liscomb.
Liscomb Lodge Resort, well-known for its planked salmon, and marina is only a short boat ride away.
